Bugatti & Musker aka The Dukes

Dominic Bugatti and Frank Musker were a prolific songwriting duo of the 70s and 80s, writing for Nancy Sinatra, Roger Daltry, Chaka Khan, and many others. They released two album efforts; one under the name Bugatti & Musker, another under the name The Dukes, released in 1981 and 1982 respectively. "Mystery Girl" in particular reminds me a bit of Kiyotaka Sugiyama/Carlos Toshiki & Omega Tribe's tunes.

Ned Doheny - I've Got Your Number [1976]

Ned Doheny never became well-known in his own country, unfortunately. But his smooth west coast sound caught on in Japan, where he eventually started hosting his own radio show in the early 90s. Unfortunately I don't have an album up for download, but I enjoy this song and maybe you will too? Who knows!
